# Overview

> Real-time multilingual translation for your live meetings on Windows.

Chatterbox is the CAMB AI desktop app that brings live, multilingual translation into your everyday meetings. It installs a pair of virtual audio drivers on Windows, sits between your microphone and any meeting platform (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and more), and translates your speech in real time so participants hear you in their preferred language.

## How it works

1. You speak into your normal microphone in your **"I Speak"** language.
2. Chatterbox transcribes, translates, and re-synthesizes the audio in the **"They Hear"** language.
3. The translated audio is routed through the **Chatterbox Virtual Microphone**, which the meeting platform picks up as your mic input.

Your participants hear you naturally in their language without installing anything on their end.

## Requirements

* **Operating system**: Windows 10 or 11.
* **CAMB AI Studio account**: sign in at [studio.camb.ai](https://studio.camb.ai) to download the installer and authenticate the app.
* **Headphones or earphones**: required during live sessions to prevent feedback loops between your speakers and microphone.
* **A reboot after install**: the virtual audio drivers only activate after a system restart.
